Senior Risk Analyst

“I have always been aware that there is a unique culture in Lind Capital, and when I saw an opportunity to return as a Senior Risk Analyst, I was excited to become part of the journey again.”

Senior Risk Analyst

Thomas graduated from Aarhus BSS with a master’s in finance before his career started in Lind Capital back in 2012. After almost three years, he moved on to try new adventures elsewhere but, in the end of 2021, he returned and accepted a position as Senior Risk Analyst in Lind Capital’s Finance and Risk team.

Boomerang employee

“Back in 2015, I said goodbye to Lind Capital, as I had an urge to explore the financial markets from a different angle than Lind Capital’s technology-driven approach. Moreover, I wanted to experience working in a larger organisation, which along the way made me very aware of the advantages you have, being part of a smaller and more dynamic one. As Lind Capital employs around 50 people, it is a rather small organisation compared to where else I have been employed. This means that the professional toolbox you work with is much wider than in a large organisation, and you get involved in the business in a much broader way. Somehow you feel closer to Lind Capital’s core business than you do when you are a part of a larger organisation.

During the years away from Lind Capital, I always kept an eye on the company and followed its impressive journey. I have always been aware that there is a unique culture in Lind Capital, and when I saw an opportunity to return as a Senior Risk Analyst, I was excited to become part of the journey again. Lind Capital has developed greatly since I left and has become even more professional. Despite the increased number of employees, and that it is a more professional organisation, the culture remains the same, which I believe is important for a company on an ambitious growth journey.

The role of a Senior Risk Analyst

As a Senior Risk Analyst in Lind Capital, my role is to analyse and understand the company’s risks with a particular focus on the market risk of our trading strategies. I spend a lot of time analysing our hedging model, both in terms of performance and optimisation. My job also involves a great combination of smaller ad hoc tasks, needing quick answers, as well as larger projects where I get to dive more into the details.

Lind Capital as workplace

I consider Lind Capital to be a very flat organisation where you meet an informal atmosphere at the office. Everyone’s ideas and thoughts are welcomed, and it is expected that you share your opinion. All of us are eager to play our part in the company’s future success, and I enjoy being part of a company with such dedicated and ambitious colleagues.

LC’s three values, co-operation, open-minded, and winning are well reflected in the culture. Everyone works their hardest to develop the business e.g., by finding ways to do things a bit better than yesterday. This also means that people here are open-minded to new ideas, work closely together across teams to solve problems, and use each other’s competencies and knowledge. Therefore, I am very excited to be back and curious to see how far we can take Lind Capital in the coming years!”

Right now we are looking for a risk colleague to join our Finance and Risk team. Read more here.
